Macclesfield Book Festival is here! Throughout February, we'll be hosting a series of events every weekend, highlighting local authors, poets, and historians. Each weekend, there will be artisan crafts & gifts, well-stocked book stalls, performances, and talks to look forward to.
Sat, 01 FebMacclesfield01 Feb 2025, 11:00 – 16:00Macclesfield, Bridge St, Macclesfield SK11 6EG, UKJoin us for the opening weekend of our book festival, hosted against a historic background with book stalls, guest speakers, and much more. Author's Day is on February 1st - come along to hear from a selection of fascinating authors and poets. Open from 11am until 4pm.- Sun, 02 FebMacclesfield02 Feb 2025, 11:00 – 16:00Macclesfield, Bridge St, Macclesfield SK11 6EG, UKJoin us for the opening weekend of our book festival, hosted against a historic background with book stalls, guest speakers, and much more. - Sat, 08 FebMacclesfield08 Feb 2025, 11:00 – 16:00Macclesfield, Bridge St, Macclesfield SK11 6EG, UKOpen from 11am until 4pm. with Open Mic Poetry from 3 'til 4. We will also be joined by poets and authors, and be treated to performances from Macclesfield Recorder Group and organist Ian Dalgleish.

We will also be joined by poets and authors, and be treated to performances from organist Ian Dalgleish and Deborah Edgeley & Mark Sheeky.
- Sat, 15 FebMacclesfield15 Feb 2025, 11:00 – 16:00Macclesfield, Bridge St, Macclesfield SK11 6EG, UKOpen from 11am until 4pm. Sandra, Christ Church volunteer and archivist will be giving a fascinating talk on the history of the building at 12pm. Artisan stalls, book stalls, and refreshments will be available.
- Sun, 16 FebMacclesfield16 Feb 2025, 11:00 – 16:00Macclesfield, Bridge St, Macclesfield SK11 6EG, UKOpen from 11am until 4pm. Performance by Chordiality Choir at 2pm, and a talk on "The Amazing Musical Opening at Christ Church" by local historian Dorothy Bentley Smith. Artisan stalls, book stalls, and refreshments will be available.
- Sat, 22 FebMacclesfield22 Feb 2025, 11:00 – 16:00Macclesfield, Bridge St, Macclesfield SK11 6EG, UKOpen from 11am until 4pm. Paul Magrs, a Doctor Who writer, will be giving a talk at 1pm, and we will also be treated to a performance by the Fambles, a creative writing group from Levenshulme. Book stalls, artisan stalls, and more.
- Sun, 23 FebMacclesfield23 Feb 2025, 11:00 – 16:00Macclesfield, Bridge St, Macclesfield SK11 6EG, UKOpen from 11am until 4pm. As Treacle Market Sunday goes on in the town centre, we will be holding the final day of our month long Book Festival. Come along to browse book and artisan stalls.
